In 1998, we attended the Harley Email Digest/Rec.Motorcycles.Harley annual campout in southern Illinois, near St. Louis. This event is held each year the first full weekend of June. This was the 5th Annual MITM and the first we didn't have rain!

This year was also special, because there was an unprecedented gathering of official, numbered Wenches and Bitches! Below is a picture of us. (Yes the guy in the middle is a Bitch, too! He's also an Asshole(tm), but that's another story...)

Although MITM is only about a 400 mile trip for us, we decided to roll on about 150 miles after work the night before to arrive earlier the next day. This picture is that evening at a motel in Mendota, Illinois. The rain that night and the next morning delayed our departure a couple hours...

El Gato has a gorgeous tattoo of his cat. This picture doesn't do it justice...

Heidi * was kind enough to bring some gold-bearing sand from California to teach CrowDog how to pan for gold, so in return, he took her on Ed Eckert's ride on Saturday!

  Maggi Maggi is a true Ironbutt in my book. She went out East just before MITM and bought an Ironhead Sportster. She then rode it (for the first time) all the way back to Illinois, much of the trip in pouring rain. By the time she left on Sunday, she still wasn't dry!

 

This is a collage of some other pictures I took over the weekend. We had a great time but, as usual, the weekend was too short to get around and talk to everyone.
